Birgit Mennel / Monika Mokre (Hg.)

ist Philosophieprofessor an einem Gymnasium in Seine Saint Denis, Essayist und Aktivist. Er beschäftigt sich schwerpunktmäßig mit Diskriminierung und Rassismus und insbesondere mit Formen der Gesetzgebung, die auf spezifische Bevölkerungsgruppen zugeschnitten sind. Seine wichtigsten Monographien sind Le Ministère de la peur (2004), La République du mépris (2007) und La Mécanique raciste (2008). Mit Ismahane Chouder et Malika Latrèche hat er den Sammelband Les Filles voilées parlent (2008) herausgegeben, mit Sylvie Tissot betreut er die Website Les Mots sont importants (2010).
