Christian Falsnaes (b. 1980, Copenhagen) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and is currently based in Zurich, where he is a tenured lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts. His practice centers on performance, often involving exhibition visitors whose participation becomes integral to the work. Falsnaes’ works have been presented at institutions including the National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen; Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki; Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; Centre Pompidou, Paris; ZKM, Karlsruhe; and Manifesta 11, Zurich.
